Community Forestry is Coming To Pimlico Terrace and Park Circle!

by | Aug 31, 2026 | News

We’re partnering with Pimlico Terrace and Park Circle residents to plant trees in your neighborhood!

As part of Baltimore Tree Trust’s pilot program of the Community Forestry Model, residents get to provide input on which species of tree gets planted and where to support the community’s growing tree canopy.

In this pilot program, you’ll be able to:

  • Pick your favorite tree species from our pre-approved list
  • Receive a slow-release watering bag (aka gator bags) and a choice of a house, 5-gallon bucket, or watering can to help you care for your new tree
  • Receive a tree care guide
  • Report tree progress and service needs on a regular basis

The care commitment for your community’s tree is low but the impact is high!

Why Trees

A tree-lined community is a right, not a privilege. The benefits of trees include:

  • Cleaner air
  • Lower electricity costs
  • Cooler temperatures
  • Reduced flooding during heavy rainfall
  • Increased property values
  • Welcoming green spaces

Since 2008, Baltimore Tree Trust has planted over 23,000 trees in collaboration with neighborhoods across the city, working to restore Baltimore’s urban forest through increased tree planting, community engagement, and awareness.

Where We Plant

  • Public spaces
  • Right of way
  • Your front yard

Should you wish to participate, you agree to water the tree for two years to help it grow. Please note there is a limit of one tree per home.

If you’re interested in participating, please submit the following form. Together, we can determine eligibility, which tree best suits your needs, and what is needed for a successful planting. We will also handle any permitting needs and address any underground utility issues prior to planting.
