This special event marks Maryland’s commemoration of the nation’s 250th anniversary by planting a Liberty Tree—a living symbol of resilience and community. Learn more about this statewide project and partners!
Hosted by the Baltimore Tree Trust in collaboration with the Baltimore National Heritage Area, Baltimore City Recreation & Parks, Maryland Center for History and Culture, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, MD250 Commission, Preservation Maryland, Maryland Heritage Areas Coalition, and Southern Maryland National Heritage, this planting honors the legacy of the original Liberty Tree and its role in uniting communities.
