Join us for a hands-on morning helping the next generation of Baltimore’s trees get their start! Volunteers will work alongside the Baltimore Tree Trust’s Nursery Manager to pot young tree seedlings, an important step that prepares them to grow strong before being planted in neighborhoods across the city.
During this event, volunteers will help transfer small seedlings into larger containers, refresh soil, and organize plants in our nursery space. These early-care tasks are critical to ensuring that the trees we plant in the future are healthy, resilient, and ready to thrive in Baltimore’s urban environment.
No prior experience is needed. We’ll provide all the tools, materials, and guidance you need. This is a great opportunity to get your hands in the soil, learn a little about urban forestry, and directly support the growth of Baltimore’s future tree canopy.
Volunteer Details:
- We are seeking 6–8 volunteers for this event.
- The work will take place outdoors at our nursery, so please dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes.
- Light physical activity is involved, including bending, lifting small pots, and working with soil.
Whether you’re a seasoned tree lover or just looking for a meaningful way to spend a morning outdoors, we’d love to have you join us.
Sign up today and help grow the trees that will shape Baltimore’s greener future!
